PETZL – AM’D Carabiners

The Am’D lightweight asymmetric carabiner is made of aluminum. It has a D shape particularly suited for connection to diverse equipment such as descenders or positioning lanyards. Its fluid interior design and Keylock system facilitate handling. The Am’D carabiner is available in three locking systems: automatic TRIACT-LOCK or BALL-LOCK system, or the manual SCREW-LOCK system.

INTENDED USE: The Am’D carabiner is an efficient shape for holding equipment or attaching to belay systems using either end of the carabiner.
SIZE AND STRENGTH: Its large dimensions (24 mm gate) allow it to hold an array of equipment. The Am’D’s major axis strength is 27 kN.
EASY TO USE: The D shape offers good handling and is designed to be easy to grip with gloves on.
LOCKING SYSTEMS: Choose between three locking systems: Screw-Lock for occasional use or dirty environments, Ball-Lock for frequent use and use with triple-action opening, or Twist-Lock for quick opening and when connecting a GRIGRI.
